The idea for DestinationFood.com began in January 2008 in a small café in Windsor, Connecticut.  Ellen Lucas and Deb Wojcicki, seeking escape from their everyday careers, started brainstorming about a website encompassing their loves of food, travel, and writing.  After a year of planning, and a lot of help from their friends, DestinationFood.com went live in January 2009.  Here's the scoop about Ellen, Deb, and a few of their fabulous foodie friends:

	Ellen Lucas - Principal Foodie and Business Manager. Ellen is passionate about travel and food.  Ellen's awakening to the wide world of food came in 1983.  Living in Venezuela, she learned how to create carne mechada, hallacas, arepas, empanadas, and other local cuisine from her step mother, Argentina de Lucas. 	Tracey Pinto – Bartender and Cyber-Hostess of Tracey’s Drink Link.  Tracey attended bartending school in the 80s and has been mixing a mean drink ever since.  She discovered early on that the best way to keep her friends happy and entertained is to mix a great drink, throw an awesome party, listen when needed, and have fun!
