Quick take on the Sun WineFest held at the Mohegan Sun Casino January 30 & 31.  On Sunday, Tracey, of Tracey's Drink Link, Deb and I took a road trip to Uncasville, Connecticut to partake in the festivities.  We sampled a wide variety of wines from around the world and all agreed that the 2007 Matchbook Tempranillo was one of our favorites from the Crew Wine Company. Please keep in mind that we also appreciated the Hazlitt 1852 Vineyards' Red Cat NV, considering it a good poolside or beach wine.  

As for food, the offerings were varied and scrumptious, with many of the restaurants from the casino represented.  I particularly appreciated the oh-so-tender beef filet with horseradish offered by Flemings Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar.  However, one of the highlights was Tracey being Tracey; spotting Bobby Flay after his culinary demonstration, she took him by surprise when she handed him her business card.  We believed he feared she was a stalker, but seriously, fear not Bobby.
