The idea for DestinationFood.com began in January 2008 in a small café in Windsor, Connecticut.  Ellen Lucas and Deb Wojcicki, seeking escape from their everyday careers, started brainstorming about a website encompassing their loves of food, travel, and writing.  After a year of planning, and a lot of help from their friends, DestinationFood.com went live in January 2009.  Here's the scoop about Ellen and Deb.

 Ellen Lucas Ellen Lucas - Principal Foodie and Business Manager.
Ellen is passionate about travel and food.  Ellen's
awakening to the wide world of food came in 1983. 
Living in Venezuela, she learned how to create carne
mechada, hallacas, arepas, empanadas, and other
local cuisine from her step mother, Argentina de Lucas.
Since then, the sampling of diverse culinary cultures

Deb Wojcicki - Principal Foodie and Content
Manager.  Deb enjoys traveling the country
looking for new flavors and wonderful recipes
